About me

I grew up in China, now I call Sydney home.

I began photography when my first child was born twenty years ago, I was eager to capture her blossoming through childhood and used my film camera for this. I would simply carry it around with me and record her whenever I valued the moment. During this process, photography immediately sparked an interest in me – thus, I took private lessons with multiple photographers. As my passion continued to grow extensively, I decided to learn photography more comprehensively. My professional experience started at TAFE where I was successfully granted the diploma of photography and photo imaging.

Photography grants me creative freedom to capture the specific details of life which bring me happiness. I am incredibly grateful for photography as the enjoyability that stems from it make it a passion rather than a profession. I feel privileged to be able to record the things I like, the people I love and specific moments that are valuable towards me – photography is an opportunity for me to store memories that are worth a lifetime. It is through photos that I have gained a more comprehensive understanding of myself, those around me and the world. I am given the ability to reflect and fathom the fortunate life that I live.
